through extensive research, i’ve found that there’s a direct correlation between the amount of time until final exams / projects and my urge to drink alone until numbness, incoherency, vomiting, and kidney failure are induced

experiments in progress, expect twenty page research paper in near future

so i was doing research for my term paper and?? i saw this and was like oooooh lordy what have i gotten myself into, because, well:

“Opioids modulate mesolimbic DA pathways in the VTA by activating (mu) opioid receptors on secondary interneurons causing hyperpolarization and inhibition of GABA release on primary neurons (the dopamingergic output neurons) with consequent increased DA release. However, activation of (kappa) opioid receptors on primary neurons causes their direct inhibition. The endogenous opioid system, via both (mu) and (kappa) opioid receptors, tonically inhibits the HPA axis, suggesting the atypical responsively contributes to addiction.”

BUT NOW UHHHHH I AM SCARING MYSELF A LITTLE BECAUSE I ACTUALLY KIND OF UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS???? HOW THE FU

i decided to allow myself some wiggle room on this ten page term paper i was assigned on the first day of the semester and actually started writing it the night before it’s due instead of the morning before :DDDDD

i’m such a fucking awesome efficient student
